Graphic offers monetization features that allow user who upload comics to earn revenue through support from other users.
Definition
“Korean users” refers to users residing in South Korea or registered with a Korean account.
“Japanese users” refers to users residing in Japan or registered with a Japanese account.
Digital Asset Purchase and Support
Users can purchase a digital asset called “Pizza” within the service to support creators. The price of Pizza varies depending on the purchase currency — ₩500 KRW, ¥50 JPY, or $1 USD per Pizza. Pizza can be used to support individual comics or user profiles.
Revenue Accumulation
Pizzas received as support are converted into cash and accumulated as the user’s revenue balance. The converted value is ₩300, ¥30, or $0.6 per Pizza, after deducting marketplace fees and VAT. The actual payout amount may vary depending on exchange rate fluctuations. Graphic’s internal service fee is less than 3%.
Identity Verification (KYC)
To receive revenue, users must complete a Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process.
All personal and banking information submitted for withdrawal requests is encrypted and securely stored, and used only for the purpose of processing withdrawals.
Korean users: Verification is conducted by submitting personal identification and bank account information (resident registration number, bank name, and account number) to the service.
Japanese users: Verification requires submitting personal information (name, date of birth, address, postal code, and phone number) and bank account details (bank code, branch code, account number, account type, and account holder name) to the service, followed by a review by the Graphic operations team.
Tax Reporting
Taxes are handled in accordance with the laws of each country.
Korean users: Receive payments after a 3.3% withholding tax deduction. Additional income tax filings may be required depending on the account holder who receives the payment.
Japanese users: Receive the full payout amount, and the account holder who received the payment is responsible for reporting income directly to the Japanese tax authorities.
Withdrawal Requests
Withdrawals become available once the accumulated revenue reaches the specified minimum amount — ₩5,000 for Korean users and ¥500 for Japanese users. Revenue generated by the end of the month in which the withdrawal is requested will be paid on the 10th of the following month (business day basis). After payout, the revenue balance resets to zero, and a receipt is issued. Payments may be delayed if public holidays or unexpected circumstances occur.
Transfer Fees (Japan Only)
For Japanese users, payouts are processed through WISE. WISE transfer fees range from approximately $1 to $15, depending on the withdrawal amount. These fees may be deducted from the payout and can vary depending on exchange rates, withdrawal amount, and the receiving bank’s conditions.
Personal Data Collection
In accordance with tax regulations, additional personal information may be required to verify the identity of the payee. This process is known as KYC (Know Your Customer). Graphic collects only the minimum information necessary for revenue settlement, and all data is encrypted and securely stored. If the account is deleted, related data will also be deleted; however, if any withdrawals have been made, the information will be retained for up to five years in compliance with legal requirements.
